Original Apple Unisex Heavy Cotton Tee
100% cotton premium unisex heavy tee. Cool pixilated design of the original Apple logo
Ronald Wayne, Apple’s third lesser known co-founder, illustrated the company’s first logo and wrote the Apple 1 manual in 1976. The logo depicts Newton about to be struck by a falling Apple, with a quote around the frame from the english poet William Wordsworth, ; “Newton… a mind forever voyaging through strange seas of thought…alone”
Wayne, was a cautious and risk adverse engineer, partly from the failure of his first company that sold slot machines. Twelve days after Apple was created, Wayne sold his 10% share of the company back to Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak for US$800. In the present, with Apple being one of the most valuable companies in the world, we know what an incompressible amount of wealth was lost with Wayne’s decision.
One year after its founding Ronald Wayne’s logo was replaced by Rob Janoff’s iconic rainbow Apple bite. When looking at this original logo design it’s easy to start thinking about all the decisions and missed chances in our own lives, and find ourselves become lost voyaging though those lonely strange seas of thought.
